Lars Ole - How do you train an international top athlete?

Lars Ole - Hvordan træner man en international topatlet?
Two Danish short-distance triathletes are going to the 2024 Olympics! In this episode we have the honor of talking to Lars Ole Holm, who has put Stevns on the world map. Lars is both father and coach to Emil and Anne Holm. Both compete at an international level, and Emil Holm will, together with another Danish triathlete, Alberte Kjær, participate in this summer's Olympic Games.
We talk about how someone with a background as a painter and self-taught triathlon coach is able to lift their children to the top international level, where both Anne and Emil are able to beat the elite in Denmark in all three disciplines.

We get to the big questions: What sacrifices did the Holm family have to make, and what are their training philosophies? How do you find balance as a family when training is so important, and what mindset do you need to have to keep your children motivated?

The road to the top is not easy. Everyone can dream, but few understand what it takes to be a top international athlete.
