What are electrolytes?
Electrolytes are minerals – such as sodium, potassium and magnesium – that help the body manage fluid, energy and muscles.
You lose them when you sweat. Without them, your fluid balance doesn't function optimally – even if you drink enough.

You get electrolytes through our Premium Endurance , and they are transported faster with sugar present.

Why do electrolytes work better with sugar?
When you consume carbohydrate (sugar) along with sodium (salt) and fluid, something called a sodium-glucose transport channel is activated in the intestine.
This means that:
This means that:
- Fluid and electrolytes are absorbed faster and more efficiently
- You are better hydrated than if you only drink water with salt
- You get both energy and fluid balance at the same time
That's why products like Premium Endurance , which combines carbohydrate + electrolytes, more effective than just water with a little salt.

Why are electrolytes important?
Electrolytes help to:
- Maintain fluid balance
- Prevent cramps
- Maintain energy and concentration
- Ensure that the body absorbs the fluid properly
Without them, you risk drinking a lot – without your body being able to use it effectively.

This is how we use it ourselves:
- Before training:
Preload with 80g Premium Endurance with 500 ml of liquid approximately 60 minutes before the start – then you get both liquid, electrolytes and carbohydrates in one solution.
- During training:
Premium Endurance - covers both fluid, carbohydrate and electrolytes – and makes it easy to get everything in one solution.
